Job summary

Carsem (M) Sdn. Bhd, based in Ipoh, Malaysia, seeks an experienced Final Test Operations Manager to lead daily final test production, optimize yield and OEE, and manage cross-functional NPIs and capacity planning.

You will work with internal factories and OSAT partners to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement across test operations. The role requires a engineering/management background with 3–5 years in semiconductor testing, strong analytical skills, and experience in root-cause

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related discipline.
• 3-5 years in semiconductor manufacturing, test operations, production management, or leadership.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor test processes, equipment operations, and manufacturing planning concepts.
• Proven experience in yield improvement, OEE management, and production optimization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with knowledge of 8D, Why-Why Analysis, and root cause methodologies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across multiple functions and external partners.
• Experience managing OSAT relationships and semiconductor test operations is an added advantage.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily Final Test production operations with focus on smooth lot movement and test program releases.
• Monitor and improve yield performance, OEE, test time, and retest rates.
• Coordinate New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and ensure smooth transition from development to HVM.
• Collaborate with internal factories and OSAT partners to resolve production and test issues.
• Drive troubleshooting and root cause analysis using structured methodologies.
• Work with Supply Chain and Engineering on capacity planning, equipment forecasting, and hardware procurement.
• Lead capacity expansion projects to support business growth and demand.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement culture.
