Job summary

Uniloy Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician to service Southeast Asia, repairing and maintaining blow molding machinery with a focus on quality and uptime.

You will conduct tests, install retrofit packages, respond to service requests, perform preventive maintenance, and report progress to management while traveling frequently to customer sites across the region. Fluency in English is required; Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge and experience in mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Preferably 1–2 years of Field Service Technician experience in Blow Molding/Injection Molding machinery.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
• Flexibility to work overtime and on weekends when needed.
• Fluent English; Mandarin ability is an added advantage.

Senior Field Service Technician

About the role

The Field Service Technician will respond to requests within the Southeast Asia for repairs and breakdowns as well as perform routine maintenance and upgrade customer equipment as necessary.

What you'll be doing

Conduct tests and assessments of new systems and repairs to ensure quality.

Assemble and install Retrofit packages and Aftermarket parts.

Respond quickly to all service requests and efficiently troubleshoot and repair Uniloy equipment.

Install new equipment and wiring to expand infrastructure, as needed.

Perform preventative maintenance on a regular schedule.

Log all services and report progress to management.

Utilize and store all equipment properly.

Maintain annual OSHA Safety certifications, as required.

Effectively write reports associated with field service work.

Cross-train on various types of Uniloy equipment and new technological advances in the Blow Molding industry.

Commission new machinery by assembling and putting into production new products sold by Uniloy to customers on a global scale.

What we're looking for

Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Knowledge and experience in mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.

Preferably with 1-2 years of working experience as a Field Service Technician particularly in Blow Molding/Injection Molding machinery.

Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in the industry.

Willing and able to travel frequently, both domestically and internationally, based on customer and business requirements.

Flexible to work overtime and on weekends when required.

Passionate about providing on-site technical support and willing to travel frequently to customer locations across Southeast Asia.

Strong problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Proficient in MS Office.

Communicate effectively with customers.

Speak fluent English, and able to converse in Mandarin is an added advantage.
