Job summary

Cadence Design Systems in Penang, Malaysia seeks an Application Engineer to support adoption of digital implementation, physical design and static verification solutions. You will combine hands-on physical design expertise with leadership and customer engagement to optimize performance, power and area on advanced nodes.

The role involves leading timing closure, EM/IR signoff, and working with RTL teams to ensure successful tapeouts, while advancing next-generation design methodologies and flows

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 3+ years hands-on experience in physical design and verification.
• Experience with ASIC design flow, static timing analysis, EM/IR analysis.
• Strong English communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform timing closure, power/IR signoff, and EM/IR signoff.
• Tackle low power and high speed designs at advanced nodes.
• Contribute to next-generation physical design methodologies and flows.
• Work closely with RTL teams to ensure successful tapeouts.
