Job summary
Siemens Energy in Malaysia invites a Sales Application Engineer to join our extensive service network across Asia Pacific. You will develop technical and commercial offers, lead cost integration with risk assessment, and coordinate tender documentation while interfacing with global teams to optimize solutions.
The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related field, 3–5 years in a service/quotations role, and strong IT proficiency with MS Word/Excel, SAP and Salesforce, plus
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is preferred.
- 3–5 years’ experience with a major electrical contractor, with quotations for service-based work.
- Experience in an engineering role or as a site/field service technical expert is beneficial.
- Experience and knowledge of High Voltage transmission industry in Malaysia and Asia Pacific.
- Strong IT skills including MS Word/Excel, SAP, and Salesforce; professional English proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Review RFQs from customers and develop technical and commercial offers highlighting OEM value.
- Lead cost integration and risk assessment prior to final pricing.
- Prepare tender documentation including BOMs, drawings, data sheets, and method statements.
- Prepare external RFQs and coordinate with regional supply chain for compliant offers.
- Interface with operations, engineering, and factories to optimize technical and commercial offerings.
