Job summary

Jardine Schindler Group is seeking a Senior Analyst in Malaysia to support global business services. You will perform month-end closing, reconcile intercompany accounts, and prepare financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with SOPs.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, with 3+ years in a shared services environment and strong knowledge of accounting, project costing, taxation, and company secretarial work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting/finance experience in a Shared Services Organization.
• Full set of accounts knowledge is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Accounting, Project Costing, Taxation and Company Secretarial work.
• Experience in the lift industry is an advantage but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and journal processing.
• Prepare and review financial reports, balance sheet reconciliations, and ensure integrity of general ledger accounts.
• Reconcile intercompany transactions and accounts, resolving unreconciled items.
• Record and maintain fixed asset transactions and related entries.
• Prepare indirect tax reports (SST/GST/VAT/WHT) and ensure timely submission.

Global Business Services RTR - Senior Analyst

• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including account reconciliations, journal processing, settlements, and financial reporting in accordance with SOPs and company policies.
• Prepare and review financial reports, analytical reviews, balance sheet reconciliations, and ensure the integrity and accuracy of general ledger accounts.
• Execute month-end closing activities including settlements to COPA and validation of completeness and accuracy of settlement postings.
• Reconcile and analyse intercompany transactions and accounts, identifying and resolving unreconciled or aged items.
• Record and maintain fixed asset transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, and related accounting entries.
• Prepare indirect tax reports (SST/GST/VAT/WHT) and ensure timely submission and payment to relevant authorities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including AP, AR, Treasury, Supply Chain, Operating Companies, and Group Finance to ensure smooth and timely financial closing processes.
• Act as a key contact point for accounting-related inquiries and provide guidance and support to team members on accounting matters and operational processes.
• Ensure service delivery meets established SLA and KPI targets while responding to stakeholder requests in a timely manner.
• Assist in internal and external audit requirements by providing accurate documentation and supporting information.
• Support process improvement initiatives, standardization efforts, and system enhancements to improve efficiency, accuracy, and control within R2R operations.
• Support project implementation, process migrations, and transformation initiatives, including data analysis, user acceptance testing, requirements gathering, and end-user support.
• Maintain and update SOP documentation to ensure alignment with current processes, systems, and policies.
• Prepare management and group reporting requirements, including consolidation-related reports where applicable.
• Participate in ad hoc assignments, projects, and business initiatives as required by management.
• Support workplace safety initiatives by complying with safety regulations, attending safety training, and promoting a positive safety culture within the organization.
