Chenbro (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a seasoned Accountant with 3–6 years in manufacturing to manage general ledger, AP/AR, costing and inventory valuation.
The role supports ERP-based costing, BOM maintenance, and standard costing, with emphasis on accuracy and internal controls. You will analyze variances, margins and material yields to drive profitability and assist strategic management decisions, while ensuring timely closing and strong financial reporting.
Handle general ledger, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR), ensuring proper reconciliation of factory overheads, raw material purchases, and inventory valuations.
Responsible for costing functions for manufacturing operations, including product costing, BOM, standard costing, and cost analysis.
Perform end-to-end costing (materials, labour, overheads) for precious metals recycling and ensure accurate ERP setup (Bill of Materials, routings, costing parameters).
Analyse cost variances, margins and material yields to improve profitability and support strategic management decisions
Lead the tracking, valuation and reconciliation of physical stock (raw materials, work-in-progress, semi-finished and finished goods) against ERP records.
Investigate inventory variances and collaborate with production department to optimize costing accuracy and timely
Monitor production costs, overhead allocation, and identify cost control and efficiency improvement opportunities.
Utilize and optimize ERP financial workflows, troubleshoot data integration errors between production and finance, and strengthen internal controls.
Responsible to perform day-to-day operation of accounting functions which include but not limited to monthly closing, accounts reconciliations, collections and payments.
Manage fixed assets , financial schedules, track payments, perform reconciliations, and ensure timely reporting and asset stock take.
Ensure all transactions are completed and accurately updated into the accounting system on a timely basis.
Assist with finance-related tasks as required.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related professional qualification like ACCA or CPA.
Minimum 3 to 6 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 3 years specifically in a manufacturing or production
Proficient in ERP systems (like SAP or Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel; strong understanding of cost accounting principles (BOM list analytical abilities)
Have good and positive attitude, detail-orientated, organized and able to prioritize tasks
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Able to work independently and in team & able to work under pressure in a fast-moving environment
