Job summary

Chenbro (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a seasoned Accountant with 3–6 years in manufacturing to manage general ledger, AP/AR, costing and inventory valuation.

The role supports ERP-based costing, BOM maintenance, and standard costing, with emphasis on accuracy and internal controls. You will analyze variances, margins and material yields to drive profitability and assist strategic management decisions, while ensuring timely closing and strong financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related professional qualification; ACCA/CPA preferred.
• Minimum 3–6 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in manufacturing/production.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and advanced Excel; strong cost accounting knowledge (BOM, variances).

Responsibilities

• Handle general ledger, AP and AR, with proper reconciliation of overheads and inventory valuations.
• Costing responsibilities including product costing, BOM, standard costing and cost analysis.
• End-to-end costing for materials, labour and overheads for the metals recycling operation; ERP setup validation.
• Analyze cost variances, margins and material yields to support profitability and management decisions.
• Lead inventory tracking, valuation, and reconciliation against ERP records; investigate variances.
• Monitor production costs, overhead allocation, and identify cost-control opportunities.
• Improve ERP financial workflows, troubleshoot data integration and strengthen internal controls.
• Perform day-to-day accounting tasks including monthly closing, reconciliations, collections and payments.
• Manage fixed assets and financial schedules; ensure timely reporting and asset stock take.
