Job summary

LEAP CONSULTANCY PTE.LTD. is seeking a Finance/Accounting professional to support daily financial operations in a manufacturing context. The role covers cost accounting, budgeting, reporting, and tax compliance within Malaysia.

The candidate will gather planning data, monitor local tax changes, and assist in variance analyses, forecasting, and KPI calculations such as gross margin and inventory turnover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above, majoring in finance, accounting, finance or related fields.
• CPA/ACCA/CIMA/MIA or equivalent professional qualifications preferred.
• 2–4 years of executive-level accounting/finance experience, preferably in manufacturing or audit firms.
• Proficient in financial software (SQL, Kingdee) and Excel data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day financial operations including cost accounting, budgeting tracking, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
• Gather data for financial planning and monitor local tax updates and industry trends in Malaysia.
• Handle day-to-day cost accounting for production (raw materials, labor, overheads) and compute variance analyses.
• Assist in annual budgeting and monthly budget monitoring; compile forecasting data.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and calculate key metrics (gross margin, inventory turnover, capacity utilization).
• Monitor daily cash flow movements and assist with tax declarations (Corporate Tax, SST, customs duties).
• Collaborate with production, procurement, and supply chain to provide financial support.

Responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the company's manufacturing business, including cost accounting, budget tracking, financial reporting preparation, and tax compliance processing,

ensuring operational accuracy and compliance with local regulatory standards.

Core Responsibilities

Assist in gathering data for the company's financial planning and operational goals.

Keep track of local tax updates and industry trends in Malaysia to support management reviews.

2. Cost Accounting and Control

Handle day-to-day cost accounting for production and manufacturing (raw materials, labor, overheads, etc.).

Prepare regular cost variance analysis reports and flag areas for costreduction opportunities.

3. Budgeting and Forecasting Assistance

Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and monitor monthly departmental budget execution.

Compile baseline data and financial numbers to support regular forecasting reports.

4. Financial Reporting and Analysis

Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement) in a timely manner.

Extract and calculate key performance metrics required by management, such as gross profit margin, inventory turnover, and capacity utilization.5. Treasury and Tax Administration

Monitor daily cash flow movements to ensure sufficient funds for routine production operations.

Prepare submission documents for Malaysian tax compliance (Corporate Tax, SST, customs duties) and assist in handling tax declarations.

Cross departmental collaboration (such as production, procurement, supply chain), providing financial support.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree or above, majoring in finance, accounting, finance or related fields.

Priority is given to those who hold professional qualifications such as CPA/ACCA/CIMA/MIA.

Experience: 2 to 4 years of executive-level accounting/finance experience, preferably within the manufacturing industry or with audit firm experience.

Proficient in financial software (such as SQL and Kingdee) and Excel data analysis.
