Job summary

MIN SOON TRANSPORT COMPANY SDN BHD in Sarawak seeks an experienced accountant to manage the full set of accounts using Xero and to oversee financial reporting, AR/AP, and stock reconciliation.

The role requires 3–5 years of accounting and finance experience with leadership capabilities, strong knowledge of Malaysian taxation, SST, and MFRS. You will coordinate with tax agents and auditors and ensure timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 3–5 years of accounting and finance experience.
• 2–3 years of supervising or leading an accounts team.
• Strong hands-on experience in full-set accounting and financial reporting.
• Good knowledge of Malaysian taxation, SST and e-Invoicing.
• Knowledge of MFRS will be an advantage.
• Experience in stock/inventory accounting will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage full set of accounts using Xero Accounting Software.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly Management Account within the Group required deadline.
• Ensure all accounting records are complete, accurate, properly reconciled and traceable.
• Oversee and manage AR and AP functions, including customer collections, supplier payments, and monitoring of outstanding balances.
• Reconcile LPG purchases, sales, stock movements and inventory balances.
• Coordinate with tax agents on corporate tax, SST, e-Invoicing and tax submissions.
• Coordinate with external auditors, prepare audit schedules and respond to audit queries.
• Review accounting work prepared by team members and provide supervision and guidance.
• Ensure proper finance & accounts documentation and records are maintained for ISO, internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with MFRS and applicable Malaysian accounting and statutory requirements.
• Perform other finance & accounts-related duties and ad-hoc assignments as required by management.

About you

Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant accounting qualifications

Minimum 3-5 years of relevant accounting and finance experience

At least 2–3 years of experience in supervising or leading an accounts team

Strong hands-on experience in full-set accounting and financial reporting

Good knowledge of Malaysian taxation, SST and e-Invoicing

Knowledge of MFRS will be an advantage

Experience in stock/inventory accounting will be an advantage

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

High integrity, responsible and able to work independently and supervise team members
