Qualibit Chemicals & Industries Sdn Bhd invites a capable Senior Accountant / Assistant Accounts Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting and finance operations, ensuring accurate records and timely month-end close.
You will supervise Accounts Assistants, manage AP/AR/GL, perform bank reconciliations, monitor cash flow, prepare P&L and balance sheets, and support management with financial analysis and planning.
We are looking for a responsible and hands-on Senior Accountant / Assistant Accounts Manager to manage the company's day-to-day accounting and finance operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely accounting records, month-end closing, financial reporting, cash flow management, tax compliance, audit matters and coordination with external parties. The role will also provide guidance and supervision to the Accounts Assistant and support management in financial planning and decision-making.
Handle and maintain the company's full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), Bank and cash transactions, Fixed assets, Accruals and prepayments, and Intercompany transactions
Ensure all accounting transactions are properly recorded and supported by relevant documents
Review accounting entries and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Maintain proper and organized accounting documentation and records
Prepare monthly closing and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and on a timely basis
Prepare monthly Profit & Loss Statement, Balance Sheet and other management reports
Perform bank reconciliation and investigate any discrepancies
Monitor the company's daily cash position and upcoming payment commitments
Supervise and provide guidance to Accounts Assistants and junior finance staff
Prepare financial analysis and reports as requested by management
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or trading environment
Experience handling full set accounts is highly preferred
Familiarity with accounting software, preferably SQL Account / SQL Accounting
Good knowledge of Malaysian accounting, taxation and statutory requirements
Experience in audit and tax matters
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Able to work independently with minimum supervision
Good communication and interpersonal skills
