Job summary

DKSH Malaysia is seeking a Specialist, Technical Sales to identify and grow customer relationships within the Semiconductor and Electronics business line. You will combine technical insight with strategic sales execution to deliver tailored solutions across Penang, Kedah, and Perlis.

The role requires a diploma or bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum of 2 years in sales, with strong technical aptitude to articulate product value to customers.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Marketing, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of sales experience, preferably in a technical sales environment.
• Strong technical aptitude with ability to translate complex product and engineering information into clear, compelling customer value propositions.

Responsibilities

• Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing strong rapport with potential and existing customers and stakeholders.
• Provide technical and engineering information on products, services, and equipment by responding professionally and accurately to customer questions and requests.
• Establish new accounts by identifying potential customers and planning an effective sales call schedule to maximize territory coverage and business development opportunities.
• Prepare strategic sales plans for assigned territories and gain customer acceptance through professional demonstrations and presentations.
• Follow up on open-term invoices to ensure timely payment collection and maintain healthy accounts receivable.
• Prepare sales activity reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales information and application trends.
• Update all customer information and communication activities in the CRM system to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
• Contribute to team objectives by delivering results aligned with business priorities and broader organizational goals.
