Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an Application Engineer in Malaysia to provide technical support for security system design and proposals. You will translate customer requirements into end-to-end security solutions, including access control and CCTV, while coordinating with Sales, Engineering and Operations to ensure feasible, cost-accurate deliverables.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering with 5+ years in security systems, familiarity with CCure/Lenel/Genetec/Milestone, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in security systems.
• Experience with access control, CCTV, and perimeter security preferred.
• Strong understanding of system architecture and design considerations.
• Willingness to travel across Malaysia for site visits and engagements.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support by analyzing customer requirements and designing security system architectures including hardware selection and integration.
• Develop design proposals and system layouts that meet project specifications.
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering and Operations to align solutions, costing and delivery feasibility.
• Prepare technical submissions, drawings, and high-level design documentation for proposals.
• Perform cost estimation based on drawings, specs and site requirements.
• Generate BOQ and ensure accuracy for proposal submissions.
• Deliver technical presentations to customers on proposed solutions.
• Promote standardisation and best practices across functions.
• Knowledge of Johnson Controls security solutions is advantageous.
