Job summary

Johnson Controls in Malaysia seeks a Building Automation Engineer to provide technical support and site commissioning for controls projects, tailoring composite-based solutions to meet cost, timing and resource requirements. You will work with project managers, sales and operations to prepare technical submissions, drawings and proposals, and to assist in project execution on Building Automation Systems.

Experience in Metasys, Niagara, PCVue or ICONICS is preferred; travel nationwide within

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Process & Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering with minimum 3 year relevant working experience.
• Knowledge in Logic Block Programming, PLC programming on Metasys or Niagara or PCVue or ICONICS software.
• Outstation travel and station is required (Outstation covers whole Malaysia).

Responsibilities

• Provide customer support by responding to technical queries with detailed analysis of building management system, project schedule, material costing, and submittal of design improvements.
• Collaborate with Sales and Operations to align solutions, costing, and delivery feasibility; prepare technical submissions, drawings and proposals.
• Coordinate with Operations to assist in engineering field delivery of Building Automation Systems.
• Perform cost estimation based on drawings, specifications, and site requirements; generate BOQ for proposals.
• Contribute to conceptual design of composite components to support proposals.
• Work within a team of design, engineering and ops staff; knowledge of ACMV and Metasys controls is advantageous.
