Job summary

Johnson Controls Building Technologies and Solutions Malaysia is seeking an Application Engineer to provide technical support, customer quotations, and development case studies for composite applications. You will analyze customer requirements and demonstrate how composite solutions meet costing, timing, and resource needs, with travel to customer facilities as needed.

You will collaborate with engineering, sales and operations to define design details, create 3D CAD models, and prepare cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with minimum 6-year relevant work experience.
• Willing to learn with good attitude.
• Travel between job sites as required.
• Possess knowledge in PLC/BMS will be added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provides customer support by responding to technical queries with detailed analysis of building management system, schedule of creation, tooling costing, and submittal of design and process improvements.
• Works with engineering, sales, and ops staff to understand standard fabrication techniques, materials, and current demands to formulate design details for sales staff and customers.
• Provides product technical engineering information by creating and giving presentations on customer proposals including 3D representations of finished goods and tooling.
• Prepares cost estimates by studying blueprints, plans, and related customer documents; consulting with engineers and other personnel.
• Conceptual design of composite components and assemblies to support proposals
• Generate solid and surface CAD models
• Ability to compose detailed bill of materials for proposals
• Work as part of a team of design, engineering and ops staff
• Knowledge of ACMV and controls associated with Johnson Control Metasys will be an advantage
