Job summary

FERROTEC MANUFACTURING MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. is hiring for a fixed-term contract role of 6 months in our metal fabrication section. The position emphasizes safe operation of hand tools and production equipment, reading engineering drawings, and maintaining strict quality controls.

Applicants with experience in machining or manufacturing and familiarity with measuring tools are preferred. A high level of attention to detail and adherence to 5S practices is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM/secondary school qualification or equivalent.
• Experience in metal fabrication, machining, or manufacturing preferred.
• Able to read basic engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Familiar with basic measuring tools and inspection methods.
• Able to operate hand tools and production equipment safely.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to product quality.

Responsibilities

• Operate secondary processing equipment and hand tools safely and efficiently.
• Perform deburring, grinding, polishing, drilling, tapping, cutting, bending, and other finishing operations as required.
• Follow work instructions, engineering drawings, specifications, and standard operating procedures.
• Inspect parts for dimensional accuracy, surface condition, and overall quality.
• Use measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, and templates.
• Identify and report defects, abnormalities, or equipment problems to the supervisor.
• Maintain proper identification and traceability of parts during processing.
• Ensure processed components meet required quality standards before transferring them to the next process.
• Perform basic machine setup, adjustment, and tool changes where authorized.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working area according to 5S requirements.
• Follow all company safety procedures, including proper use of PPE.
• Perform routine checks and basic maintenance of machines and tools.
• Complete production records, inspection records, and other required documentation.
• Support production targets and minimize material waste, rework, and downtime.
• Perform other duties related to metal fabrication and secondary processing as assigned by the supervisor.

Job description

This is a fixed-term contract employment for 6 months. If the contract is successfully completed and both sides are satisfied, there have high chances to be converted as permanent employees.
