Job summary

FERROTEC MANUFACTURING MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. seeks a proactive Security Executive to manage daily security operations, monitor CCTV and alarm systems, and coordinate outsourced personnel. You will support business continuity, protect people and assets, and ensure compliance with security policies.

The role requires 3–5 years in security, a related diploma, and strong Bahasa Malaysia and English communication. Evening/night shifts and VIP event support are expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in security-related field preferred.
• Valid security personnel certification/licence where applicable.
• 3–5 years of experience in security operations.
• Experience managing outsourced security service providers.
• Strong written and spoken Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily security operations and ensure policy implementation.
• Monitor outsourced security personnel performance for compliance.
• Oversee CCTV, alarm systems and security equipment for incidents.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and patrol reviews for gaps.
• Assist with access control procedures and vehicle entry systems.
• Ensure security manpower deployment, shifts, and readiness.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, or disruptions promptly.
• Prepare incident reports and escalate to Security Lead or Admin.
• Assist in emergency response, drills, and security exercises.
• Support investigations related to loss prevention and violations.
• Inspect assets, facilities, and surroundings to prevent loss.
• Monitor movement of property and equipment per procedures.
• Manage car park operations for safety and order.
• Willing to perform night spot checks for compliance.
• Maintain relations with HR, IT, Facilities, and other departments.
• Support security readiness before VIP visits or events.
• Report early when required for major company activities.
• Review security processes and suggest improvements.

Job description

The Security Executive is responsible for managing and coordinating daily security operations to ensure a safe, secure, and compliant working environment. The role oversees site security activities, monitors security systems, manages security risks, coordinates outsourced security personnel, and supports business continuity by protecting company employees, facilities, assets, and confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily security operations to ensure effective implementation of company security policies and procedures.
• Monitor and evaluate outsourced security personnel performance to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and company standards.
• Monitor CCTV systems, alarm systems, and security equipment to detect suspicious activities or security incidents.
• Conduct regular site inspections, security audits, and patrol reviews to identify security gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Support implementation of access control procedures, including vehicle entry system, face recognition system of door access, and other security systems.
• Ensure proper security manpower deployment, shift coverage, and operational readiness.
• Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, accidents, or operational disruptions.
• Prepare incident reports and elevate issues to Security Lead or Admin department for further action.
• Assist during emergency response activities, evacuation drills, fire drills, and security exercises.
• Support investigation activities related to loss prevention and security violations.
• Conduct inspection of company assets, facilities, equipment, and surrounding areas to prevent loss, theft, or damage.
• Monitor movement of company property, materials, and equipment according to approved procedures.
• Manage and monitor car park operations to ensure all vehicles are parked safely, orderly, and in designated areas.
• Willing to regular spot checks during night shifts to monitor employee compliance, security control, and operational requirements.
• Maintain effective communication and working relationships with HR, IT, Facilities, and other departments.
• Support workplace preparation activities and ensure security readiness before VIP visits, management visits, or official company events.
• Willing to report early when required to support preparation before Group CEO visits or important company activities.
• Review existing security processes and recommend improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company security policies, procedures, and safety requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma or equivalent qualification in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Administration, or related field preferred.
• Possess valid security personnel certification/licence (where applicable under Malaysian security industry requirements).
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in security operations, preferably in manufacturing, semiconductor, industrial, or MNC environment.
• Experience managing outsourced security service providers and security operations.
• Familiar with CCTV monitoring, alarm systems, and basic security technology.
• Knowledge of access control systems, CCTV monitoring, alarm systems, visitor management, and security technologies.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with internal departments, contractors, and external authorities.
• Good report writing, documentation, and analytical skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English. Ability to communicate in Mandarin will be considered an added advantage.
• Willing to work beyond normal hours when required, including VIP visits, emergency situations, and operational requirements.
