Job summary

Ferrotec Manufacturing Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. seeks a Quality Control Manager to oversee production tool-set quality and in-process inspections, ensuring all parts meet customer and internal specifications.

The role includes leading audits (system, process, product), implementing CAPAs, training inspectors, and coordinating with HQ on new CMM programming. Proficiency with ISO 16949/14001 is essential, and multi-tasking across departments is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ Degree in Engineering / Quality Management / Certified Quality Engineer (Preferable)
• Experience in field of metal fabrication
• Versed in ISO 16949/14001 documentation and auditing skills
• Knowledge on QA measuring equipment such as CMM, Contact Angle, etc.
• Ability to multi-task and priorities on workload based on urgency
• Good communication skill in English, Bahasa Malay and/or Mandarin(preferable) to effectively communicate with our diverse client base and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Job description

Ensure quality of production tool set-up and the parts during in-process inspection meet customer / internal specifications.

Train the team to ensure inspection methods are understood & complied with customer spec, for all production parts as per established in control plans.

Ensure quality of delivered parts to customers are in spec and align outgoing inspection with quality plans.

Knowledge of System Audit, Process Audit and Product Audit.

Monitor & implementation of corrective/preventive actions for effectiveness. Maintain records up-to-date.

Problem Solving skills including root cause analysis and corrective, preventive actions.

Provide Support to HQ on new project CMM programming

Operate measurement equipment such as CMM machine, train and assist other inspectors as required.

Ensure Measurement Method & Equipment Master list are proper update & renew.

Participate in QMS / supplier audits and follow up closure of non-conformities.

The 5 Core Quality Tools are comprised. (PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, SPC, MSA)

To develop and implementing quality control tests, inspecting products at various stages and writing reports documenting production issues.

Set up the department KPI and monitor the department performance.

Job Requirements:

Diploma/ Degree in Engineering / Quality Management / Certified Quality Engineer (Preferable)

Experience in field of metal fabrication
