Job summary

Maica Corporation Sdn Bhd in Sabah is seeking a sales professional to maximize sales of its interior laminates and related products. You will promote, specify and close deals with owners, developers, architects, and contractors, ensuring projects meet customer standards.

You will input daily sales activities, prepare proposals, and maintain long-term relationships while targeting annual sales budgets. The role requires 1–2 years in building materials sales, fluency in English and Bahasa

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of sales experience, preferably in building materials/trading goods.
• Education in business, marketing or related field.
• English, Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain good working relationships with customers.
• Identify opportunities and strategies to increase sales.
• Attend sales meetings and training sessions regularly.
• Approach, promote, and specify company products to owners, developers, architects, interior designers, quantity surveyors, contractors, subcontractors, carpenters, and end users.
• Prepare proposals, quotations, and tenders based on customer requirements and project specifications in an accurate and timely manner.
• Identify and develop new business leads and potential customers.
• Input daily sales activities and information to company system/software; achieve targets.

Overall Scope of Work

Responsible for the maximization of sales for company’s products for Sabah. Promote / specification all products and turnover of sales and provide data’s regarding changes required in the product to meet Customer standards, answering queries, offering advice and introducing new products.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain good working relationships with customers.
• Identify opportunities and strategies to increase sales.
• Attend sales meetings and training sessions regularly.
• Approach, promote, and specify company products to owners, developers, architects, interior designers, quantity surveyors, contractors, subcontractors, carpenters, and end users.
• Prepare proposals, quotations, and tenders based on customer requirements and project specifications in an accurate and timely manner.
• Identify and develop new business leads and potential customers.
• Analyse, review, coordinate, and support project workflows and company plans accordingly.
• Attend meetings related to budgeting, specifications, tender interviews, project progress, follow-ups, and customer complaint or issue resolution.
• Determine innovative path to streamline processes and cover continuous improvement opportunities.
• Apply value engineering practices to ensure optimum quality and compliance with project requirements.
• Possess knowledge in project coordination and/or costing software and related programs.
• Maintain professional relationships with existing customers to support long-term business development.
• Work closely and effectively with team members to ensure successful project delivery and lead conversion.
• Provide regular updates on market intelligence, project progress/status, and call reports.
• Carrying the load in customers’ remittance transactions in delicate and agreeable credit term.
• To input daily sales activities and information to company system/software
• To achieve company Target/Sales Budget

Requirements

Experience

Minimum 1–2 years of sales experience. preferably in building materials/Trading Goods.

Education

SMP, STPM, High School Diploma or a Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

Languages

English, Bahasa Malaysia, and others. Mandarin as an added advantage to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients
