About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Sales Representative to join KWONG ONN TONG SDN BHD in Melaka. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in driving our business growth and expanding our market presence. As a Sales Representative, you will be at the forefront of our customer engagement strategy, responsible for identifying new opportunities, building lasting client relationships, and achieving sales targets that contribute directly to our company's success.

What you'll be doing

• Identifying, prospecting and pursuing new sales opportunities within assigned territory or customer segments
• Building and maintaining strong, professional relationships with existing and potential clients
• Presenting product and service offerings to clients in a compelling and persuasive manner
• Preparing and delivering detailed sales proposals and quotations tailored to client needs
• Negotiating terms, pricing and contracts to achieve mutually beneficial agreements
• Meeting and exceeding individual sales targets and performance metrics on a consistent basis
• Conducting product demonstrations and training sessions for clients to showcase key features and benefits
• Maintaining accurate records of all sales activities, client interactions and pipeline progress using CRM systems
• Providing feedback to management regarding market trends, competitor activities and customer feedback
• Collaborating with internal teams including marketing, operations and customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and successful order fulfilment

What we're looking for

• Proven track record of success in a sales representative or consultative sales role, ideally within a similar industry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse client groups
• Strong negotiation and closing abilities, with a results-driven mindset and competitive spirit
• Self-motivated and disciplined with the ability to work independently whilst meeting organisational objectives
• Sound understanding of sales techniques, customer needs analysis and solution-based selling approaches
• Proficiency in using customer relationship management (CRM) software and MS Office applications
• Willingness to travel within the Melaka region as required for client meetings and field activities
• Full driving licence and own reliable transport
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional languages are advantageous
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or related discipline (preferred but not essential with equivalent experience)
