SearchAsia Consulting Pte Ltd seeks a Sales & Marketing Manager (Orthopedic Implants) in Kuala Lumpur to lead nationwide orthopedic sales operations, drive revenue growth and mentor a growing sales team. You will coordinate clinical support and build relationships with surgeons and hospital procurement teams.

The role requires 3–5 years in orthopedic medical device sales, strong leadership, and a proven track record in achieving targets within a fast-paced MedTech environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Sales & Business Development: Lead nationwide orthopedic sales operations, achieve revenue targets, develop business opportunities, manage key accounts and secure hospital tenders.
• Clinical & Surgical Support: Provide hands-on intra-operative support during surgeries and coordinate orthopedic implants, surgical instruments and case requirements.
• Hospital & Surgeon Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with orthopedic surgeons, healthcare professionals, hospital management and procurement teams.
• Team Leadership: Manage an existing team of 5, with plans to expand to 8. Provide coaching, mentoring and performance management to drive team effectiveness.
• Marketing & Strategy: Develop marketing initiatives, product positioning and surgeon engagement programmes to strengthen market presence and business growth.

About the Role

Our client is an established company in the Medical Devices and MedTech industry, specialising in orthopedic implants, surgical instrumentation and spine solutions.

They are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Sales & Marketing Manager to lead orthopedic business operations, drive revenue growth and manage an existing sales team while expanding the company's market presence across Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development: Lead nationwide orthopedic sales operations, achieve revenue targets, develop business opportunities, manage key accounts and secure hospital tenders.

Clinical & Surgical Support: Provide hands‑on intra‑operative support during surgeries and coordinate orthopedic implants, surgical instruments and case requirements.

Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Science, Business, Marketing, Biomedical Engineering or a related field.

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in orthopedic medical device sales, particularly orthopedic implants.

Strong hands‑on intra‑operative surgical support experience is essential.

Proven experience in hospital account management and building relationships with orthopedic surgeons.

Good understanding of orthopedic implants, surgical instrumentation and clinical applications.

Previous sales team management experience is highly preferred.

Strong sales, negotiation, leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to achieve business targets.

Self‑motivated, commercially driven and team‑oriented.

Additional Requirements

Willingness to travel nationwide, including Sabah and Sarawak.

Flexibility to work weekends and overtime when required.

Availability for occasional 24/7 on‑call support for urgent surgical cases.

Comfortable working in a fast‑paced medical device environment.

Salary: Negotiable based on experience, clinical exposure and product knowledge.

Commission: Performance‑based commission structure.
