Job summary

CJ Century Logistics Sdn Bhd is seeking a results-driven business development professional in Penang to identify and secure new clients in freight forwarding and contract logistics. You will analyze customer needs, coordinate with internal teams, and build lasting relationships to grow revenue.

Candidates should have a diploma or degree and 2–3 years of relevant experience, with English proficiency, strong presentation and prospecting skills, and willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Business Studies, Marketing, Logistics, or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in business development or sales in freight forwarding, contract logistics, or supply chain industry.
• Proven track record in hunting and acquiring new clients.
• Have knowledge in basic financial analysis.
• Good verbal and written in English.
• Self-motivated and customer oriented.
• Good organizing skills and able to work independently.
• Good presentation and prospecting skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willing to travel when required.

Responsibilities

• Identify, explore and secure new business opportunities.
• Attend inquiries and RFQ responses before cutoff date.
• Handle reports such as risk management and sales pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and track job progress from start to finish.

• Liaise with related departments to ensure job completion.

Job description

Identify, explore and secure new business opportunities.

To ensure all the inquiries and any related with RFQ are attended and be respond before cutoff date.

Handling report such as Risk Management report, Sales Pipeline Report, Internal Weekly Meeting.

Troubles shoot and track job progress from beginning until the end.

Understanding customer needs and requirements.

Liase with all related departments/divisions to ensure job completion.

Maintain good relations with customers.

Meet with customers on a need to be basis to enhance relations and solve problems.

Any other job that maybe assigned by the Management.

Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Business Studies, Marketing, Logistics, or related field.

2–3 years of experience in business development or sales in freight forwarding, contract logistics, or supply chain industry.

Proven track record in hunting and acquiring new clients.
