Job summary

Talent Recruit is seeking an experienced Sales & Marketing Manager in Malaysia to lead the sales force, build strong customer relationships, and grow presence across Modern Trade, General Trade, and HoReCa channels.

The ideal candidate will translate market insights into actionable plans, coach a developing sales team, and drive sustainable revenue growth with a hands-on approach to field operations and trade terms negotiation.

Qualifications

• Mandarin language proficiency (spoken and written) is required.
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in any relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years of FMCG sales experience with General Trade exposure.
• Minimum 2 years of experience leading a sales team.
• Must own a car and be willing to travel for work.
• Experience managing MT, GT and/or HoReCa channels is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve AOP and company targets.
• Plan and activate sales initiatives to drive distribution, visibility, and volume growth.
• Revive inactive accounts, identify market gaps, and penetrate new territories.
• Analyze market trends, competitors, and outlet-level performance to guide decisions.
• Manage and grow business across Modern Trade, General Trade, HoReCa, and other channels.
• Lead annual business reviews, promotional planning, and trade term negotiations.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate Sales Executives and Merchandisers.
• Conduct joint field visits to monitor performance and support trade execution.
• Work closely with logistics and supply chain to ensure product availability and timely deliveries.
• Monitor territory performance, payment collections, and aging reports.

• Minimum 2 years of experience managing a sales team
