Job summary

Talent Recruit in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Sales & Marketing Manager to lead our sales force, build strong customer relationships, and grow our presence across Modern Trade, General Trade, and HoReCa channels.

This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who can translate market insights into actionable plans, coach a developing sales team, and drive sustainable revenue growth; ensure seamless execution from strategy to field operations.

Qualifications

• Mandarin language proficiency required.
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience in FMCG with strong GT exposure.
• Minimum 2 years of experience managing a sales team.
• Own car and willingness to travel for work.
• Experience managing MT, GT and/or HoReCa channels is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve AOP and company sales targets.
• Plan and activate sales initiatives that drive distribution, visibility, and volume growth.
• Revive inactive accounts, identify market gaps, and penetrate new territories.
• Analyze market trends, competitors, and outlet-level performance to guide decisions.
• Manage and grow business across Modern Trade, General Trade, HoReCa, and other channels.
• Lead annual business reviews, promotional planning, and trade term negotiations.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate Sales Executives and Merchandisers.
• Conduct joint field visits to monitor performance and support trade execution.
• Work closely with logistics and supply chain to ensure product availability and timely deliveries.
• Monitor territory performance, payment collections, and aging reports.

Requirements

• Proficiency in spoken and written Mandarin is required to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in any relevant field
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the FMCG industry, with strong General Trade (GT) exposure
• Minimum 2 years of experience managing a sales team
• Possess own car and willing to travel for work
