Job summary

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Executive to join our team at our Shah Alam, Selangor location on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and building strong relationships with customers in the building trades and ceramics industry. As a Sales Executive, you will be the primary point of contact for clients, promoting our extensive range of ceramic products and building materials whilst identifying new business opportunities and expanding our customer base. This is a key position that directly contributes to the company's revenue targets and market presence.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, contact, and develop relationships with potential customers in the building trades and construction sectors
• Present and demonstrate ceramic products and building materials to prospective clients, highlighting features, benefits, and competitive advantages
• Prepare and deliver sales quotations, proposals, and product specifications tailored to customer requirements
• Negotiate contracts and close sales deals whilst ensuring favourable terms for both the company and clients
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline opportunities using company systems
• Build and nurture long-term customer relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals
• Collaborate with the operations and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction
• Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets and KPIs
• Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote products and generate leads
• Provide feedback to management on market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in sales, preferably within the building trades, construction materials, or ceramics industry
• Strong understanding of ceramic products, building materials, and construction industry practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customer bases
• Demonstrated ability to identify customer needs and provide tailored solutions
• Self-motivated with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to meet clients within the region
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Higher Secondary Certificate (SPM) or equivalent qualification; diploma or degree in sales, business, or related field is preferred
