Job summary

ELK-Desa Resources Berhad in Malaysia seeks a Sales Executive to manage sales within the assigned territory, develop new business opportunities and maintain strong customer relationships for ELK-Desa Furniture.

The role requires minimum 2 years of sales experience in furniture, strong communication in Bahasa Malaysia, English and Chinese, and willingness to travel. You will work with internal teams to ensure timely order fulfilment and payment collection while pursuing sales targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification
• At least 2 years of sales experience; furniture industry a plus
• Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia, English and Chinese
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to meet customers
• Willing to travel regularly; own car and driving licence preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow sales within the assigned territory and develop new customers and business opportunities
• Maintain good relationships with existing customers
• Achieve sales targets and KPIs set by Management
• Follow up on customer orders, deliveries and outstanding payments
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely order fulfilment and delivery
• Manage customer accounts and follow up on outstanding payments to ensure timely collection
• Visit customers regularly and monitor market trends and needs
• Support sales promotions and other business development activities
• Perform other sales-related duties as directed by management

About the role

The Sales Executive is responsible for managing sales within the assigned territory, developing new business opportunities, maintaining customer relationships and achieving sales targets for ELK-Desa Furniture.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow sales within the assigned territory and develop new customers and business opportunities
• Maintain good relationships with existing customers
• Achieve sales targets and KPIs set by Management
• Follow up on customer orders, deliveries and outstanding payments
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely order fulfilment and delivery
• Manage customer accounts and follow up on outstanding payments to ensure timely collection
• Visit customers regularly and monitor market trends, customer needs and competitor activities
• Support sales promotions and other business development activities
• Perform other sales-related duties and ad hoc assignments as directed by management.

About you

• Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification in any field
• At least 2 years of relevant sales experience; furniture industry experience is an added advantage
• Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia, English and Chinese
• Good interpersonal skills and enjoys meeting customers
• Able to work independently, self-motivated and target-oriented
• Willing to travel outstation regularly based on business requirements
• Possess a valid driving licence and own car
