Job summary

• Assist in streamlining Finance Reporting Operation process through process improvement or system enhancement.
• Prepare / review supporting schedules and reports for group consolidation purposes related to the assigned business segment.
• Review documents for accuracy, proper documentation, and correct GL Coding.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors / tax agent and coordinate audit requests.

ELK-Desa Resources Berhad has two business segments through its wholly-owned subsidiaries, ELK-Desa Capital Sdn Bhd and ELK-Desa Furniture Sdn Bhd.

The ELK-Desa Capital Group is primarily involved in the business of hire purchase financing for used motor vehicles as well as selling general insurance policies as an insurance agent.

The ELK-Desa Furniture Group is primarily involved in the business of trading and wholesaling of home furniture.

Assist in streamlining Finance Reporting Operation process through process improvement or system enhancement

Compliance & Reporting

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements

Support management in reviewing monthly management account and business analysis

Prepare / review supporting schedules and reports for group consolidation purposes related to the assigned business segment.

Review of documents to ensure accuracy, proper documentation, compliance with company policies and ensure correct GL Coding.

Others / any other ad hoc as required to meet department needs

Prepare / compile of tax related information within due date

Liaise with internal and external auditors / tax agent by coordinating audit requests, preparing audit schedules and supporting documents, responding to audit queries, and ensuring timely completion

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Support

Facilitate operation support to other departments by furnishing accurate reports within the due date.

REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Diploma holders with relevant and substantial experience in Accounts, Finance, or related fields are also encouraged to apply.

Profession in Business Process Outsourcing and AutoCount is an added advantage.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
