  • 1–2 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, reconciliation, or payment processing.
  • ACCA, CPA, MICPA or LCCI students welcome for part-time opportunities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Meticulous, organized and able to work independently with accountability.
  • Proactive in identifying and resolving discrepancies with stakeholders.
  • Good communication with different stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; ERP systems experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure daily accounting transactions are complete, accurate and compliant with standards and policies.
  • Perform daily financial data integration and verification; investigate discrepancies.
  • Reconcile bank records, operational systems and accounting records; follow up on items.
  • Review invoices and payment vouchers for accuracy and GL coding.
  • Prepare journal entries, bank charges and other adjustments.
  • Assist in monthly financial and management reporting using Excel.
  • Maintain filing of accounting and financial records.
  • Provide support for audit, tax and other finance requirements.
  • Assist in financial analysis and ad-hoc finance tasks as required.

Job description

We are looking for a meticulous and analytical Executive, Financial Reporting to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data, supporting month-end closing and reconciliation activities, and preparing timely financial and management reports.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders and our outsourced accounting team to ensure financial transactions and records are properly maintained and any discrepancies are promptly resolved.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure daily accounting transactions are complete, accurate and in compliance with accounting standards, company policies and regulatory requirements.

Perform daily financial data integration and verification, investigate discrepancies and follow up with relevant stakeholders for timely resolution.

Perform reconciliations between operational systems, bank records and accounting records, including bank and clearing account reconciliations, and follow up on outstanding items for timely resolution.

Review invoices and payment vouchers for accuracy, supporting documents, GL coding and posting.

Prepare credit notes, journal entries, bank charge entries and other accounting adjustments.

Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, management reports and supporting schedules using Excel.

Maintain accurate and proper filing of accounting and financial records.

Provide support for audit, tax and other finance-related requirements.

Assist in financial analysis and other ad-hoc finance assignments as required.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field.

1–2 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, reconciliation, payment processing or related areas will be an advantage.

ACCA, CPA, MICPA or LCCI students and accounting professionals seeking part-time opportunities are welcome.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.

Meticulous, organised and able to work independently with a strong sense of accountability.

Proactive in identifying and resolving discrepancies or outstanding issues.

Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively with different stakeholders.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting/ERP systems will be an advantage.
