Job summary

Sunway Marketing Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Sales Engineer to identify and secure opportunities in solar energy and M&E. You will provide technical guidance during design and installation, prepare tailored proposals and quotations, and work with project teams to ensure on-time delivery. Applicants with 1 year of sales experience or fresh graduates are welcome; strong English and Bahasa Malaysia are required, Mandarin a plus. Travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Business Studies/Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Technology, or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of sales experience; fresh graduates welcome.
• Experience in renewable energy, power transmission/distribution, or power automation is a plus.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin a plus.
• Own transport and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities for solar energy / M&E, E&E products and services.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to customers in selecting, designing, and installing solar energy systems.
• Prepare detailed proposals, quotations, and technical specifications tailored to customer requirements.
• Collaborate with project management and installation teams to ensure seamless delivery of projects.
• Generate and maintain a sales pipeline and forecast sales data.
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes to offer cutting-edge solutions.
• Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings to promote products and services.
• Maintain good relationships with customers over time.
