Job summary
ABS Engineering & Trading Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a motivated Sales Engineer to meet customers, understand their technical challenges, and translate engineering solutions into successful sales. You will develop new accounts, open markets, manage relationships, and provide technical solutions across industries, with opportunities for commission and performance bonuses.
You will travel to client sites, deliver technical presentations, and collaborate with engineers to design system
Qualifications
- Degree, or Postgraduate qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 1 year of working experience in the sales of engineering or industrial products.
- Strong knowledge or exposure to engineering product applications, such as AODD Pumps, Centrifugal Pumps, Gear/Lobe Pumps, Compressors, Actuators, Valves, Tubes and Fittings.
Responsibilities
- Develop new customer accounts and explore new market opportunities
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations, clearly explaining products and solutions to customers and prospects
- Work closely with customers and internal engineers to assess equipment requirements and propose suitable system solutions
- Provide prompt support to customers in resolving installed equipment issues
- Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with prospective, new, and existing customers
- Effectively promote and persuade customers on the value and reliability of ABS Engineering & Trading products and services
- Establish and maintain an accurate customer database and manage sales activities using CRM systems
- Prepare monthly sales reports, annual sales targets, and yearly market planning
- Achieve assigned sales quotas and revenue objectives

Ability to deliver effective technical presentations and combine technical knowledge with strong selling skills
Good command of English (spoken and written)
Strong pricing, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Possesses own transport and is willing to travel throughout Peninsular Malaysia
Willing to be based or relocate to the assigned region
