Job summary

HI ESSENCE CABLE SDN BHD is seeking a dynamic Sales Engineer to be based at our Puchong, Selangor office. You will report to the Sales & BD Manager and drive growth by expanding customer relationships and delivering technical support and presentations to meet client requirements.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Degree in relevant fields, has at least 3 years of technical sales experience, and is fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Studies/Administration, Management, Marketing, Economics, Commerce, Finance, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in technical sales.
• Prior experience in cable manufacturing or electrical product sales is an added advantage.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and technical presentation skills.
• Excellent planning and organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Mature, confident, problem-solver, energetic, self-motivated, and a strong team player.
• Possess own transport.
• Willingness to travel as needed and comfortable entertaining clients for business development.
• Must be based in / willing to work out of Puchong, Selangor.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Sales & BD Manager on pipeline progress, account strategies, and key performance targets.
• Plan and organize daily sales activities to meet or exceed targets set by the company.
• Identify, propose, and actively acquire new client accounts, business partners, and market opportunities.
• Manage, drive, and accelerate the sales process while providing ongoing support to key accounts.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients through active engagement, including entertaining clients.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations, proposals, and tenders explaining products and services.
• Attend to technical clarifications and bid evaluations.
• Ensure support services and training are optimized for clients.
• Prepare Annual Sales Budgets and monthly/periodical sales reports for management on marketing plans, strategy, and sales performance.
• Attend regular sales meetings to align on marketing strategies.
