Job summary

Melewar Steel Tube Sdn Bhd in Shah Alam invites a Sales & Customer Service Executive (Indoor) to support end-to-end order processing, quotations, PO entry, stock checks and delivery coordination. The role requires strong communication with Mandarin-speaking clients and proficiency in MS Office.

The successful candidate will liaise with production, warehouse, logistics and finance to ensure timely fulfilment and complete export documentation when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of indoor sales experience.
• Preferably with sales experience in steel or related industrial sector.
• Mandarin as primary language; English a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer enquiries and prepare quotations based on pricing and stock availability.
• Process customer Purchase Orders (PO) and key in order details for processing.
• Monitor outstanding orders and arrange trucking/transport for timely delivery.
• Prepare Mill Certificates and ensure K2 Forms are provided to customers promptly.
• Coordinate with Warehouse and Logistics on delivery arrangements.
• Prepare and maintain documentation for export shipments and export rebates.
• Ensure all supporting documents for export rebate applications are complete and submitted on time.
• Liaise with customers on order status, delivery schedules and documentation requirements.
• Coordinate with Production, Planning, Warehouse, Logistics and Finance to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
• Assist with audit requirements by providing necessary supporting documents.

Sales & Customer Service Executive (Indoor)

Responsible for supporting the end-to-end sales order process, including preparing quotations, processing and keying in customer POs, checking stock availability, arranging deliveries, and preparing required documents such as Mill Certificates, K2 Forms, and export rebate documentation.

The role ensures customer orders are processed accurately and delivered on time.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Handle customer enquiries and prepare quotations based on pricing and stock availability.

Process customer Purchase Orders (PO) and accurately key in order details into the system for processing.

Monitor outstanding orders and book trucking/transport to ensure timely delivery to customers.

Prepare Mill Certificates and ensure K2 Forms are provided to customers in a timely manner.

Coordinate with Warehouse and Logistics on delivery arrangements.

Prepare and maintain required documentation for export shipments and export rebate claims.

Ensure all supporting documents for export rebate applications are complete and submitted on time.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Education: Degree in Business, Marketing, or related fields.

Experience: Minimum 1 year of indoor sales experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Ability:

(i) Preferably with sales experience in the steel industry or a related industrial sector.

(ii) Fluent in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients, with Mandarin as the primary language of communication; good command of English would be an added advantage.

(iii) Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

(iv) Proficient in Microsoft Office.
