Job summary

Swiss-Garden International Hotels, Resorts & Inns (A member of OSK Group) in Kuantan, Pahang, seeks an experienced Safety & Security Manager to oversee all security operations across the property. You will develop security policies, manage the security team, ensure compliance with Malaysian regulations, and coordinate with local authorities while maintaining a safe environment for guests and staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in security management.
• Proven track record of managing security teams and developing effective security policies.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian security legislation, workplace safety regulations and emergency management procedures.
• Certification in security management, crisis management or a related field is highly desirable.
• Experience with CCTV systems, access control technology and other security equipment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with staff at all levels and external stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Ability to assess risks accurately and implement proactive security measures.
• A professional demeanour with strong leadership qualities and attention to detail.
• First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain comprehensive security policies, procedures and protocols tailored to hotel operations.
• Oversee daily security operations and manage the security team, including recruitment, training, scheduling and performance management.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential security threats and implement preventative measures.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents, conducting investigations and preparing detailed incident reports.
• Manage CCTV systems, access control systems and other security technology to ensure optimal functionality.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
• Implement and oversee health and safety protocols, including fire safety, emergency evacuation procedures and first aid.
• Conduct regular security briefings and training sessions for staff across all departments.
• Ensure compliance with relevant Malaysian legislation, local regulations and hospitality industry standards.
• Maintain detailed security records and produce regular reports for senior management.
• Conduct background checks and security vetting for new staff members.
• Liaise with guests and staff to address security concerns and provide support during emergency situations.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Safety & Security Manager to join Swiss-Garden International Hotels, Resorts & Inns in Kuantan, Pahang. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the safety, security and wellbeing of our guests, staff and assets. As Safety & Security Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive security protocols, managing our security team, and ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and security regulations.
