Job summary

The Zenith Hotel Sdn Bhd in Kuantan, Pahang, is seeking a Safety & Security Manager to oversee the hotel’s safety, security, and emergency response programs, ensuring a safe environment for guests, staff and assets. • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
• Proven track record of leading and motivating a team of security personnel.
• Proficient in the use of relevant safety and security management software and technologies.

Job description

The Safety & Security Manager shall be responsible in assisting in all matters pertaining to the providing, administering and maintaining of adequate and ensuring effective safety and security of guests, employees, and the hotel assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor the hotel's safety, security, and emergency response policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure a safe environment for guests, employees, and hotel assets.
• Lead and supervise the Safety & Security team, including staff scheduling, training, performance management, and the effective operation of security systems, access controls, and surveillance equipment.
• Conduct routine risk assessments, safety inspections, security audits, and incident investigations, implementing corrective and preventive actions where necessary.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA 1994, the Fire Services Act, and all applicable health, safety, fire, and security regulations, while coordinating emergency drills and safety awareness programmes.
• Prepare departmental budgets, forecasts, and reports, and liaise with local authorities, emergency services, contractors, and internal departments to support safe and secure hotel operations.
