Job summary

Swiss-Garden International Hotels, Resorts & Inns is seeking an IT Executive to join our Genting Highlands ICT team. The role focuses on supporting and maintaining IT infrastructure to ensure seamless operations across hospitality properties and enhance guest experiences.

With 2-4 years in IT support and a background in Windows/Linux, you will handle end-user issues, systems monitoring, and security practices while collaborating with senior staff on improvements and upgrades.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 2-4 years of hands-on IT support, help desk or systems administration experience
• Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems
• Experience with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and firewall configuration
• Hardware diagnostics and repair for desktops, laptops and servers
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT service management tools
• Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and data protection principles
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills for explaining technical concepts to non-technical users
• Teamwork ability and multi-priority management
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+ or Microsoft certifications are highly desirable
• Hospitality industry experience is advantageous but not essential

About the role

Swiss-Garden International Hotels, Resorts & Inns is seeking an IT Executive to join our dynamic Information & Communication Technology team. This is a full-time position based in our Genting Highlands location in Pahang, where you will play a crucial role in supporting and maintaining our IT infrastructure to ensure seamless operations across our hospitality properties. As an IT Executive, you will be at the forefront of delivering technical support and solutions that directly contribute to the efficiency and guest experience of our renowned hotel and resort operations. This role offers the opportunity to work within a progressive hospitality group and make a tangible impact on our technology infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first-line and second-line technical support to end-users, resolving hardware, software and network-related issues in a timely manner
• Monitor and maintain IT systems, servers and network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime
• Install, configure and troubleshoot IT equipment including computers, printers, VoIP systems and other peripherals
• Manage IT asset inventory and maintain accurate records of all hardware and software across the organisation
• Provide IT support to hotel operations, front office systems and guest-facing technology platforms
• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of security protocols and data protection measures
• Document technical issues, resolutions and create knowledge base articles for future reference
• Collaborate with senior IT staff to identify and implement system improvements and upgrades
• Support the installation and configuration of new applications and systems as required

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

• Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems
• Experience with network troubleshooting, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and firewall configuration
• Proficiency with hardware diagnostics and repair, including desktops, laptops and servers
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT service management tools
• Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and data protection principles
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications are highly desirable
• Experience in the hospitality industry is advantageous but not essential
• Hotel background experience is an added advantage
