Job summary

Boilermaster Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced HSE Manager - Oil & Gas to lead HSE across workshop operations and project sites in Malaysia. Based in Pasir Gudang, Johor, you will drive policy development, training, inspections and incident investigations.

The role requires 8–10 years of HSE experience in oil & gas or related industries, with strong leadership, risk management and regulatory knowledge. Travel to project sites across Malaysia is anticipated.

Qualifications

Job description

Boilermaster Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated and experienced HSE Manager - Oil & Gas to join our Project Engineering team. This is a full-time position based in Pasir Gudang, Johor.

You will be responsible for leading and overseeing HSE activities across our workshop operations and project sites throughout Malaysia, ensuring compliance with Malaysian regulatory requirements, client standards and industry best practices. The role will also play a key part in strengthening our safety culture and supporting safe project execution.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

Lead and manage the overall HSE function for oil & gas projects and operations.

Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures and management systems.

Ensure compliance with DOSH/JKKP and applicable HSE regulatory requirements.

Lead HSE activities covering all workshop operations and site work execution across Malaysia.

Lead and coordinate HSE-related ISO audits and ensure compliance with applicable ISO requirements.

Manage HIRARC, JSA, PTW, LOTO, SIMOPS and process safety requirements.

Monitor contractor and subcontractor HSE performance and compliance.

Lead accident/incident investigations, root-cause analysis and corrective actions.

Conduct HSE inspections, audits, toolbox talks, training and emergency drills.

Monitor HSE KPIs, incidents, observations and corrective-action closure.

Liaise with DOSH/JKKP, clients, consultants and relevant authorities.

Lead and develop the HSE team and promote a strong safety culture.

Degree/Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering or related discipline.

Minimum 8-10 years of relevant HSE experience, preferably in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Process Plant or Heavy Industry.

MUST possess a valid DOSH/JKKP Green Book (SHO registration).

Strong knowledge of Malaysian HSE legislation, risk management and Oil & Gas safety practices.

Proven experience in contractor management, incident investigation and emergency response.

Experience in ISO audits and HSE management systems will be an advantage.

Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

Willing to travel to project sites across Malaysia as required.
