Job summary

Villamas Group of Companies is seeking a Safety & Health Officer (Green Book) to oversee compliance, risk management, and site safety operations for construction projects in Kuala Lumpur. The role requires hands-on experience on active construction sites including piling, structural, and civil works, with DOSH Green Book certification and 3–5 years SHO experience.

On-site, 6 days work, with strong Bahasa Malaysia and English communication.

Qualifications

• Registered Safety & Health Officer with DOSH (Green Book) – mandatory.
• 3–5 years' experience as SHO on construction sites (high rise experience).
• Familiar with CIDB, DOSH, and JKR safety requirements.
• Working knowledge of HIRARC, CHRA, and incident investigation methodologies.
• Certified in First Aid/CPR is an added advantage.
• Strong communication skills (Bahasa Malaysia and English).
• Able to work on-site full-time (6 days).

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor site Safety and Health programs in compliance with OSHA 1994 and DOSH regulations.
• Conduct daily site safety inspections, toolbox talks, and hazard identification/risk assessments (HIRARC).
• Investigate incidents/accidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with CIDB and DOSH requirements for construction sites (piling, excavation, scaffolding, lifting operations etc.).
• Liaise with DOSH officers during site audits and inspections.
• Maintain safety documentation and ensure safe working conditions.
• Conduct safety induction training for new workers and subcontractors.
• Monitor PPE compliance and enforce site safety protocols.
• Involved in improving security, public safety, and traffic management.
• Liaise with relevant authorities to resolve ESH matters promptly.
• Prepare monthly safety performance reports and KPIs for management.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing safety programs on active construction sites, including piling, structural, and civil works.

Key Responsibilities

Implement and monitor site Safety and Health programs in compliance with OSHA 1994 and DOSH regulations

Conduct daily site safety inspections, toolbox talks, and hazard identification/risk assessments (HIRARC)
