Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid registered Green Book with DOSH.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of working experience specifically in infrastructure related construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of local safety legislation, excellent leadership, and clear communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all site activities strictly comply with OSHA regulations and DOSH guidelines.
• Prepare, review, and monitor HIRARC and JSA for project activities.
• Conduct site safety inductions, toolbox meetings, and safety training for workers.
• Ensure proper use of PPE by all personnel on site.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, dangerous occurrences, and near misses, and prepare investigation reports with corrective and preventive actions.
• Work closely with authorities such as DOSH and Environment on HSE matters.
• Ensure machinery policies, procedures and instructions comply with DOSH regulations.
• Submit monthly safety reports.
• Initiate & conduct quarterly safety committee meetings.

Safety and Health Officer (Construction)

Tasks & Responsibilities

Prepare, review, and monitor Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for project activities.

Conduct site safety inductions, toolbox meetings, and safety training for workers.

Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all personnel on site.

Investigate accidents, incidents, dangerous occurrences, and near misses, and prepare investigation reports with corrective and preventive actions.

Work closely with relevant authorities, such as Department Occupational safety and Health (DOSH), and Environment on matters related to HSE.

Ensure all the machinery policies, procedure and instructions are comply with DOSH regulations.

Submit monthly safety report.

Initiate & conduct quarterly safety committee meeting.
