Job summary

Yicai Construction Sdn Bhd in Johor Bahru is seeking a Safety and Health Officer to ensure project-wide compliance with OSHA 1994 and related regulations. The role focuses on coordinating safety activities, conducting risk assessments and maintaining records.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all safety and health activities on the project site.

• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety training for staff.
• Verify permit-to-work (PTW).
• Liaise with subcontractors on safety matters.

Safety And Health Officer (IMMEDIATE HIRING)

Responsibilities :
The Safety and Health Officer is to perform duties of SHO as specified in the OSHA 1994 and OSH (SHO Regulation) regulation 18, 19 and 20. The Safety and Health including statutory laws and regulations in relation to all activities in the project.

To coordinate all the Safety and Health activities in the project site.
Conduct HIRADC and Job Safety Analysis and take preventive action in safety and health matters.

To monitor and supervise the activities of safety and health program and to provide supervision and coordinate the activities of the Site Safety Supervisors.

To maintain records concerning Safety and Health matters of the Project.

Act as the Secretary of SLG Site Safety and Health Committee and advise

Project Manager on Safety & Health

To conduct investigations on accidents, incidents and near misses.

To conduct inspections and audits as required by the Safety and Health program.

Liaison with sub-contractors on all safety and health matters.

Plan safety into all daily work activities.

To verify PTW.

To conduct daily site patrol and weekly site inspection to ensure the health and safety measures are taken.

To conduct toolbox and train the supervisors and engineers for conducting toolbox.

To organize and conduct training regarding safety and health (ie: Safety Induction).

To review HIRARC/JSA developed by Engineer and sub-contractor.

Requirements :

At least 3 years and above SHO experience

A certified competent Occupational Safety & Health Officer from NIOSH or related approved institution.

At least have working experiences, preferably in a construction based.

Must possess valid DOS-SHO competency (Green Book).

Good attitude , positive minded, self starter, independent and good team worker.

Preferably in Johor Bahru area
