Job summary

Binastra Land Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated Site Safety & Health Officer to join our team in Kuala Lumpur. In this full-time role, you will ensure the highest standards of health, safety and environmental practices across our construction sites, driving compliance and a culture of safety.

You will conduct inspections, implement protocols and training, investigate incidents, and liaise with DOSH while promoting safety awareness among the site team.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Occupational Safety & Health is required.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Site Safety & Health Officer in construction.
• Sound knowledge of relevant health, safety and environmental legislation and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with workers at all levels.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and mitigate risks.

About the role

Binastra Land Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated Site Safety & Health Officer to join our team. In this full-time position based in Kuala Lumpur, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health, safety and environmental practices are maintained at our construction sites. Your expert knowledge and vigilance will be crucial in keeping our workforce safe and our operations compliant.

What you'll be doing

Conducting regular site inspections and assessments to identify and address potential hazards

Implementing and monitoring safety protocols, procedures and training programmes

Investigating incidents and accidents, determining root causes and recommending corrective actions

Liaising with regulatory authorities and ensuring full compliance with all applicable health, safety and environmental regulations

Promoting a positive safety culture by engaging and educating the site team

Maintaining detailed records and reporting on safety performance metrics

Supporting the integration of safety considerations into project planning and execution

What we’re looking for

Degree or diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, or a related field

Minimum 3 years' experience as a Site Safety & Health Officer in the construction industry

Sound knowledge of relevant health, safety and environmental legislation and best practices

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with workers at all levels

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and mitigate risks

Proactive, detail-oriented and committed to promoting a culture of safety excellence

Must posses a valid Safety & Health Officer Competency Certificate (Green Book) issued by DOSH Malaysia. Strong knowledge on OSHA 1994 and related safety regulations.
