Qualifications

• SPM qualification required.
• Experience in document handling and submission of stamping/approval papers.
• Familiarity with import/export documentation (e.g., Bill of Lading).
• Understanding customs rules and tariff classifications.

Responsibilities

• Build good relationships with customs officers, freight forwarders and clients.
• Attend to break-seal or GPB when necessary.
• Handle export/import documentation and ensure accuracy.
• Identify customs tariff codes for shipments.
• Maintain up-to-date daily shipment and operation records.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by HOD as needed.

• Document Handling - Accurancy in preparing, submitting and collecting stamped/ approved paper
• Basic Customs Procedures - Understanding import/export documentation (eg) Bill of Lading
• Regulation Awareness - Familiarity with customs rules, restricted goods, and tariff
• codes.

SKILLS

• Time Management - Prioritizing urgent shipments and meeting strict deadlines.
• Negotiation & Diplomacy - Handling discussions with customs clearance systems for tracking and reporting.
• Basic IT/ Office skills - Using email, spreadsheets and customs clearance systems for tracking and reporting.
