Job summary

KMWE Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled technician to load/unload high-value components into vacuum ovens, set up bakeout profiles and monitor vacuum systems in a cleanroom environment.

The role requires 1–3 years of hands-on manufacturing experience with vacuum equipment, careful documentation, and adherence to SOPs. Willingness to work shifts and support ERP-driven production is essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment with vacuum systems and high-temperature ovens preferred.
• Good understanding of vacuum principles, pressure, leaks and pump operation.
• Ability to operate delicate equipment and high-value components with care.
• Detail-oriented, disciplined in following SOPs and quality requirements.
• Proficient in recording process data and maintaining documentation.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload high-value components into vacuum ovens with traceability.
• Set up and execute bakeout profiles per temperature/dwell/cooldown specs.
• Operate and monitor vacuum systems including pumps and gauges.
• Perform RGA scans and record residual gas data per SOPs.
• Monitor vacuum pressure and RGA results for quality compliance.
• Conduct pre- and post-bakeout visual inspections for contamination.
• Maintain strict cleanroom practices including gowning and material handling.
• Maintain equipment: check O-rings, clean flanges and monitor oil levels.
• Record parameters: pump-down time, temperature, vacuum and RGA results.
• Identify and escalate abnormal equipment or process conditions.
• Follow ERP production planning to support optimization.

SKM, Technical Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, Mechatronics or other related technical fields

Job description

Load and unload high-value components into vacuum ovens while ensuring proper identification and traceability.

Set up and execute thermal bakeout processes according to defined temperature, dwell and cooldown profiles.

Operate and monitor vacuum systems, including roughing pumps, turbomolecular pumps and vacuum gauges.

Perform Residual Gas Analyzer (RGA) scans and accurately record residual gas data according to SOPs.

Monitor vacuum pressure and RGA results to ensure they meet established quality requirements.

Conduct pre- and post-bakeout visual inspections for contamination, particles or surface abnormalities.

Maintain strict cleanroom practices, including proper gowning, material handling and contamination control.

Perform basic equipment maintenance such as checking O-rings, cleaning vacuum flanges and monitoring pump oil levels.

Record process parameters including pump-down time, temperature, vacuum pressure and RGA scan results.

Identify and promptly elevate equipment or process abnormalities.

Follow ERP production planning and support operational optimization.

Job Requirements

SKM, Technical Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, Mechatronics or other related technical fields.

1-3 years of hands‑on experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with vacuum systems, high-temperature thermal ovens, or semiconductor cleanrooms is a strong advantage.

Basic understanding of vacuum principles, including pressure, leaks and vacuum pump operation is preferred.

Good technical aptitude with the ability to operate and handle delicate equipment and high-value components.

Detail-oriented and disciplined in following SOPs and quality requirements.

Able to maintain accurate process records and documentation.

Able to follow production planning through ERP systems.

Willing to work shifts according to production requirements.
