Job summary

KMWE Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to analyze and optimize manufacturing processes, improve productivity, quality, and efficiency. You will lead problem-solving using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, and FMEA, and support NPI and ramp‑up activities.

The role requires a degree in mechanical/ manufacturing engineering and 1–3 years’ manufacturing experience with strong communication skills in English. ISO9001/13485 and AS9100 knowledge is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field related to manufacturing.
• 1–3 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of manufacturing, process engineering, and documentation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root‑cause problem‑solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing processes to improve productivity, quality, cost, capacity, yield and efficiency.
• Problem-solving with root-cause tools (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA).
• Identify bottlenecks and improve production flow, capacity, and operational efficiency.
• Support tooling, fixtures, jigs, workstations, and equipment improvements.
• Support NPI, product transfer, and production ramp‑up activities.
• Develop, optimize, train production on manufacturing processes, methods, and work instructions.
• Implement improvement plans / actions (cycle time, yield, productivity, capacity, downtime, and OEE).
• Lead Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, waste reduction, cost‑saving initiatives, and corrective/preventive actions.
• Ensure safe and consistent manufactured products following (SOPs, EHS, and industry standards).
• Assess manufacturing capacity and provide input on manpower, tooling, and equipment needs.
• Provide technical guidance to supervisors, technicians, and operators.
• Prepare reports on manufacturing KPIs / performance / issues.
• Support any tasks assigned by Head of Department and superior.

Requirements

Work closely with manufacturing and assembly teams, resolve issues, and takes ownership of assigned products.

Comprehensive understanding of ISO9001, ISO13485 and AS9100 standard requirements, quality requirements, and process control.
