Job summary

Huawei Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced RF planning and optimization engineer to support radio network design, installation, and performance optimization for 4G/LTE and other wireless systems.

You will analyze coverage, capacity, EF planning, and KPI-driven optimization, and collaborate with project managers and senior stakeholders. The role requires a bachelor’s in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical, or related field and at least five years

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or above in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of designing and deploying 4G/LTE networks.
• Strong fundamentals in LTE/WCDMA/GSM/EDGE systems.
• Experience with multi-vendor wireless equipment operation and network optimization.

Responsibilities

• Support radio network planning & optimization for GSM/CDMA2000+EVDO/UMTS+HSPA/WiMAX/LTE.
• Provide radio coverage, capacity dimensioning, EF planning, and KPI-driven optimization.
• Assist in performance negotiations with operators and participate in acceptance procedures.
• Write guidelines for radio network planning & optimization projects.

Job description

To support Radio network planning & optimization projects of GSM / CDMA2000+EVDO / UMTS+HSPA / WiMAX / LTE.

To provide Radio Coverage & Capacity Dimensioning, EF planning and Optimization, E2E optimization (KPIs), performance monitoring, Site engineering, Network audit, etc.

To support performance KPI negotiating with operators before or during project implementation.

To take part in the Preliminary or final radio performance acceptance procedure for worldwide project

To communicate with the high-level customer, Project Manager, RF Manager, CTO, CEO etc.

To write guidelines for radio network planning & optimization projects.

Assist PM with RF team organization setup, resource planning and risks allocation; to setup RF processes and supervise project RF part, ensure the network performance complies with contract.

Bachelor degree or above majoring in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical, or related area.

Min 5 years of designing and deploying 4G/LTE mobile telecommunication wireless networks. Fresh Graduate are also welcome to apply.

Excellent in the fundamentals of LTE/WCDMA/GSM/EDGE systems.

Excellent in multi vendors’ wireless equipment operation and wireless network optimization.

Experience in Technical Management and Project Management.

Excellent team spirit with good communications and interpersonal skills.

Familiar with international operators' working method and culture.

Able to work well with cross-cultural teams.
