About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Retail Outlet Manager to join IMIKA EMPIRE SDN BHD in Penang. This is a full-time position based on-site at our retail outlet. As Retail Outlet Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of store operations, driving sales performance, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. This role is pivotal to the success of our outlet and directly impacts our business objectives, brand reputation, and financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and stock control
• Lead, motivate and develop the retail team to achieve sales targets and maintain high performance standards
• Implement and maintain visual merchandising standards to create an appealing shopping environment
• Monitor and analyse sales performance, identifying trends and implementing strategies to drive revenue growth
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and brand guidelines at all times
• Manage customer service excellence by addressing customer concerns and resolving complaints professionally
• Recruit, train and supervise retail staff, conducting regular performance reviews and staff development
• Control expenses and manage budgets to maximise profitability whilst maintaining service quality
• Maintain accurate records of sales transactions, inventory levels and financial reports
• Execute promotional campaigns and special events to increase customer footfall and sales

What we're looking for

• Proven experience of at least 3-5 years in retail outlet management or similar supervisory retail roles
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities with the ability to motivate and develop staff
• Excellent sales acumen with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
• In-depth knowledge of retail operations, inventory management and point-of-sale systems
• Outstanding customer service skills with a customer-centric approach
• Proficiency in financial management, budgeting and cost control
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels
• Problem-solving abilities and sound decision-making skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail management software
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is essential; additional languages are advantageous
• Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays as required
