Key responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in supervising and training retail staff to deliver excellent customer service
• Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations and ensuring all staff adhere to company policies and procedures
• Monitor and maintain stock levels, merchandise displays, and store cleanliness to create an appealing shopping environment
• Contribute to achieving sales targets and implementing promotional activities to drive revenue growth
• Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to ensure the team is equipped to deliver outstanding customer service
• Handle customer enquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty
• Monitor and maintain visual merchandising standards, ensuring products are displayed attractively and in accordance with company guidelines
• Conduct inventory checks and assist with stock management and ordering processes
• Support the achievement of sales targets through effective team leadership, motivation and performance management
• Support cash handling procedures, reconciliation, and till management
• Handle customer complaints and issues professionally, ensuring resolution and maintaining customer satisfaction
• Conduct regular stock checks and assist with inventory management to minimise loss and wastage
• Participate in staff scheduling and ensure adequate coverage during peak trading periods
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiency
• Ensure health and safety standards are maintained throughout the store and report any hazards or concerns
• Represent the brand professionally and uphold company standards at all times

What we’re looking for

• Support the implementation of promotional campaigns and marketing initiatives to drive customer engagement
• Assist with cash handling procedures and financial reconciliation as required
• 2-4 years of retail management or assistant management experience in a fast‑paced retail environment
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with colleagues and customers
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the store environment at all times
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business performance

What we’re looking for

• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask
• Knowledge of retail operations, including inventory management and merchandising
• Proven experience working in a retail environment with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or assistant management role
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members effectively
• Customer service excellence and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding experiences
• Excellent customer service orientation with a commitment to delivering exceptional experiences
• Proficiency in using retail management systems and point-of-sale (POS) software
• Solid understanding of retail operations, including stock management, visual merchandising and sales techniques
• Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays as required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of liaising effectively with staff at all levels
• Fluency in English and Malay is preferred; additional languages are an advantage
• Proficiency in using retail management systems and point-of-sale (POS) technology
• Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and public holidays as required by the retail sector
• Problem‑solving capabilities and the ability to remain calm under pressure
• Numeracy skills and attention to detail in financial and inventory matters
• A flexible approach and willingness to support other areas of the business as needed
