Job summary

BONIA, a Malaysia-based lifestyle brand, seeks a Store IT & Systems Specialist to oversee store IT infrastructure, POS systems, and network connectivity for HQ and retail outlets.

You will provide frontline hardware/software support, ensure data synchronization between stores and HQ, manage backups and security, and coordinate with external vendors for upgrades and procurement. Willingness to travel to local outlets may be required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2 to 4 years of hands-on IT support experience, preferably within Retail or FMCG.
• Strong experience with Retail POS hardware/software, inventory systems, and network troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365 administration, and networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN).
• Willingness to travel to local retail outlets and standby support during peak hours/weekends if needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee store IT infrastructure, POS (Point of Sale) systems, network connectivity, and daily user support for HQ and retail outlets.
• Maintain, support, and troubleshoot retail POS systems, barcode scanners, receipt printers, and cash drawers.
• Manage store and HQ IT infrastructure, including LAN/Wi‑Fi, firewalls, routers, and VPN connectivity.
• Provide frontline technical support (hardware, software, network) to HQ staff and retail outlet personnel.
• Oversee retail inventory management software/ERP systems and ensure data synchronization between stores and HQ.
• Manage data backups, system security, antivirus protection, and user access rights.
• Coordinate with external IT vendors and system service providers for upgrades, maintenance, and hardware procurement.
• Perform regular preventative maintenance on IT equipment and maintain up-to-date IT asset inventory.
