Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an MIS Manager/Assistant Manager to lead a small IT team supporting ERP and POS systems across multiple outlets in Malaysia. You will ensure reliable daily operations, perform hands-on troubleshooting, and drive system improvements.

The role requires strong SQL skills, experience with Microsoft ERP/Retail POS, and a track record in managing retail IT environments. A Diploma or Degree in IT is required, with leadership and communication skills essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in IT or related field.
• 5+ years’ experience in Microsoft ERP system/Retail POS system.
• Strong SQL and reporting skills.
• Experience supporting multi-outlet retail operations.
• Team leadership and good communication skills.
• Experience in Web development using .Net and SQL Server is a great advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the IT team to deliver effective local systems support.
• Oversee and support the daily operation of ERP and POS systems, ensuring reliability, data accuracy and smooth system operations across retail outlets.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting for ERP/POS applications/other systems and related IT infrastructure.
• Use SQL scripts to extract, analyse, and process sales and operational data for business reporting.
• Collaborate with business users to understand requirements, document needs, and implement
• Develop and maintain system documentation and user manuals; conduct user training as needed.
• Monitor and address security threats and vulnerabilities associated with changing technologies.
• Ensure robust backup systems and network security protocols are in place.
