Core Responsibilities
- Field Force Operations & Team Governance: Oversee daily operations, operational SOP standardization, deployment reviews, and retention management for Malaysia's retail promoter team, establishing clear performance standards to guide regional teams toward sales success.
- Promoter Performance & Incentive Management: Drive frontline sales productivity (sales per headcount) and ensure compliance by designing and implementing monetary and non-monetary incentive schemes that motivate field teams while enforcing operational boundaries.
- Sell-Out (SO) Tracking & Gap Analysis: Monitor store-level Sell-Out performance and track promoter efficiency metrics to identify capability gaps, underperforming stores, and regional operational bottlenecks.
- Training Strategy & Courseware Development: Design, develop, and update targeted training courseware - covering product knowledge, sales pitch techniques, soft skills, and role-specific certifications - directly addressing the performance gaps identified through Sell-Out analysis.
- Frontline & Trainer Capability Empowerment: Elevate the practical capabilities of frontline promoters and regional trainer teams by conducting continuous enablement programs, hands-on workshops, product launch bootcamps, and structured certification assessments.
- Cross-Functional Strategy Alignment: Collaborate closely with Sales, Retail Operations, Marketing, and Regional HQ to align training content and field force deployment with new product launches (GTM) and overall brand objectives.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, Training/Education, Retail Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 5-8+ years of hands-on experience in Field Force operational management & corporate retail training within Consumer Electronics, Mobile Devices, or Telecommunications.
- Field Operations Mastery: Strong operational background in managing frontline promoter teams, enforcing operational SOPs, designing incentive structures, and maintaining field compliance across regional retail stores.
- Analytical & Performance Tracking Skills: Proven ability to analyze store-level Sell-Out (SO) trends, measure promoter sales efficiency (sales per headcount), perform operational gap analyses, and translate data insights into actionable field strategies.
- Courseware & Training Capability: Skilled in curriculum design, courseware development, and delivering practical enablement programs, and certification assessments that directly address frontline skill gaps.
- Collaboration & Leadership: Exceptional interpersonal, motivational, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with a strong ability to partner seamlessly with Sales, Retail Operations, and Regional HQ teams.
- Adaptability & Drive: High resilience, proactive mindset, and willingness to travel outstation periodically for store audits, field inspections, and regional workshops.
