Job summary

Maxis Broadband Sdn Bhd is seeking a Retail Store Manager to lead our store operations in Malaysia. You will oversee customer journeys, drive sales, and ensure service excellence across daily activities and standards.

You will manage staff, schedule tasks based on customer flow, and coach the team to deliver a positive, high-performance customer experience while maintaining compliance with policies. Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

• Professional certificate or diploma or degree required.
• 4+ years in telecommunications or retail preferred.
• Tech savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and English language skills.
• Mandarin-speaking is an added advantage.
• Positive, collaborative, creative with leadership potential.

The Executive of Maxis Centre is the store’s second person in command and will be focusing in driving operational excellence to deliver and unmatched customer experience at retail. Manage store performance in terms of creating conducive customer journey, speedy and effective resolutions and achieving quality and compliance to standard policies and procedures. To lead, motivate, engage and develop the team to have great service and performance culture. Be a Maxis ambassador who believes that face-to-face interactions play an important role in creating LIKE moments for customers.

What are you accountable for?

• To drive operational excellence by creating a conducive customer journey that leads to speedy and effective resolutions for customers and promoting self-serve
• Ensure seamless operations in terms of cash, inventory, floor and in-store merchandising management
• Focus on career growth and development of the staff in terms of ensuring high operational standards by consistently providing support, leadership, mentoring and coaching as a role model
• To manage in-store customer experience by creating conducive customer journey, understanding crowd pattern, and executing smart scheduling for staff
• Enforce quality and compliance to standard policies and procedures

What do you need to have for this role?

• Professional Certificate / Diploma / Degree or its equivalent
• Relevant work experience of minimum 4 years in telecommunications or retail industries preferred. Experience in showcasing and conducting product demonstrations preferred.
• Tech savvy and computer literate. Proficient in Microsoft, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent communication, written and interpersonal skills. Strong verbal and written English language
• Obsessed with customers, passionate about sales, competitive spirit, and understands people through interactive conversations
• Mandarin-speaking is an added advantage
• Personal traits: Positive, Passionate, Collaborative, Creative, A self-starter, Ability to perform under pressure in a challenging environment, a team player and leadership qualities
