Job summary

MAXIS Malaysia is seeking a Retail Assistant Store Manager in Ipoh to support daily operations of a Maxis Mobile retail store and to lead a team toward achieving sales targets while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires at least 3 years in retail sales with supervisory experience and a strong track record in driving store performance. Flexible hours, strong interpersonal skills, and proficiency in MS Office are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in retail sales, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or assistant management role, preferably in telecommunications.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a sales team.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of retail operations including inventory management, visual merchandising, and cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in leading, coaching, and motivating a team of retail sales consultants to achieve individual and store sales goals.
• Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, inventory management, and visual merchandising standards.
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by actively engaging with customers, resolving complaints, and providing expert advice on Maxis products and services.
• Monitor sales performance, analyze data, and implement strategies to drive sales growth and profitability.
• Train new employees on product knowledge, sales techniques, and company policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting store environment.
• Assist with scheduling, performance reviews, and other HR-related tasks as delegated by the Store Manager.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and security measures.
• Act as Store Manager in their absence, taking full responsibility for store operations and team leadership.
